I always love when I find little hidden gem beaches along the coastline – and Avon By The Sea is for sure one of them! Despite visiting Asbury and Ocean Grove regularly, I had yet to shoot at this stretch of beach until this session – and it did not disappoint! I especially loved that there were multiple jetties and easy parking (as a photographer I have more/less become a parking warrior so this is always important to me).

Erika and her family had such an easy and effortless cool about them and I loved their outfits (see the blue and white striped overalls on their youngest – does it get any cuter?)! We were so fortunate to have such a beautiful evening for this session after our first try was thunderstorm-ed out.

When I am sitting at my desk in February looking through previous sessions to blog about I am always drawn to my summer sessions. Maybe it’s just a quiet plea for the warm weather to arrive faster (because if I’m being honest I wish for summer daily this time of year). It’s always about this time of year when I contemplate why I continue to remain in New Jersey and have not yet moved to a more tropical location. But it’s sessions like these in beautiful places in my home state that remind me this location isn’t really so bad after all.
