Winter Wedding at Park Savoy Estate

April 30, 2026

This is going to be an absolutely giant blog entry and I don’t care. I am always awed by the couples that find me and ask me to document their wedding days. Truly just the best of us, and every single time I get to step into your worlds on one of the most important days of your lives I am still amazed that this is my job, and that you all have picked me to do this for you.

Jacquie and Joe are both pilots. If you know me, I have a bizarre fascination with aviation, which is made extra strange by the fact that I am an insanely nervous flier. I do not like riding on planes, but I love learning about planes. IDK guys, I am who I am.

ANYWAYS. Jacquie and Joe had little nods to aviation thru their wedding, and their DIY stationary absolutely blew me away. Jacquie had taken little vignettes of the Park Savoy property and printed them on the backs of their invitation suites. I was shook when I learned that she and Joe had created all the stationary including their amazing ceremony program newspapers on a household printer. I can barely get my printer to print out an email, never mind full newspapers on newsprint and exquisite stationary suites. The talent of this.

The couple had also written each guest a personal note and they were all placed at their tablesettings. I have seen this a handful of times, and it is just the sweetest and most thoughtful touch. The guests had such sweet reactions to these messages, that I had to include some of them in this entry.

I could go on and on about this wedding, but the photos really speak for themselves when it comes to the absolute joy of this day. Photographing Joe and Jacquie was an absolute treat.

How did you meet?

Joe was my Flight Instructor! We met back in 2022 but were just friends/a student-instructor duo back then! We’d have so much fun flying around, singing, snacking and just getting to know each other. Then what we believed would be just another routine flight lesson turned into the most memorable night. We were flying along the Hudson River. It was 1am and as we giggled like middle schoolers, we both admitted we had feelings for each other. Not ready for the night to end, Joe suggested we fly to another airport near-by. By 2am Jacquie convinced Joe to walk on the runway with her. Standing on the runway at night, we kissed and Joe said “I love you” for the first time.

What was the proposal like?

SO SPECIAL! Joe told me we were going to Laurita Winery for fall-fest (this prompted me to look cute in fall clothes). He suggested that we grab breakfast beforehand. We went to the Honey Berry Cafe in Spring Lake, NJ. After breakfast we had some time to kill so Joe suggested we take a walk on the Spring Lake boardwalk since we were so close. As we were walking along the beach (the same beach that I first told Joe I loved him on) there was an under cover photographer who looked like they were doing a photoshoot of a baby (It was actually the photographers new baby!). Joe started to reminisce and talk about how far we’ve come as a couple and then popped down on one knee! After which I responded with “YOU SON OF A NUTCRACKER!” (Followed up with a ‘Yes!’) We did of course go to Laurita Winery afterwards to celebrate and Joe surprised me by flying my parents up from Florida to be there!
