Ahhh these two! This wedding! New Jersey is a fickle state, so it can be difficult to time the foliage for great photos. The trees seem to turn at a variety of times, and the windows are short and heavily influenced by the actual weather patterns of any given year. One day of heavy wind, and the leaves can be totally gone. We must have done something right, because the foliage for Aisling and Matt was absolutely peak for their October wedding at Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta!
I am blogging this wedding so late (they actually have an adorable baby now who has the brightest red hair and is just cute as a button) but when I was going thru my archives and weddings I wanted to get on the blog, I fell upon this one and knew I had to get it up! The biggest shout out to the couple and bridal party for humoring me and getting in what probably felt like shin-deep grasses to get the photos in the woods! They were so worth it for that gorgeous fall glow!
How did you meet?
We met in college at Montclair State University back in 2012. We were friends of friends, and would run into each other time to time. Looking back, we always remembered each other as being ‘super nice.’ Flash forward to 2022, Matt saw Aisling walking around Hoboken, and sent her an Instagram message. After dm-ing each other for about a week, we went on our first date in Hoboken, and realized we lived on the same street only 5 blocks apart! We have been inseparable ever since!
What is your favorite thing to do together?
One of our favorite things to do, especially on the weekend, is walking to our favorite coffee shop in Hoboken and sitting outside! We love traveling to places that have nice little towns to shop, and trying new restaurants. We love watching hockey and finding new shows to binge together. We love making each other laugh and spending time together.
