I have been so excited to share this wedding! Christine I love you! Saying that Christine is incredibly expressive and fun to be around would be an understatement. Jumping on a couch? Say less. Give your Oscar de La Renta a kiss? Yes. Outfit change and coming into the reception to a Christmas-In-August rendition of ‘All I Want for Christmas is You?’ Let’s do it. We had fun all. day. long.
True to form, Hudson, Jordan and Christine’s golden retriever did indeed steal the show (we knew he would). From quietly crashing his Mom and Dad’s first look, to playing corn hole at cocktail hour, Hudson has charisma for days and knows how to party. He was even trusted to be the ring-dog and actually (for real) brought the rings up the aisle during the ceremony.
So many special moments from this day stood out to me as I went thru trying to select photos for this blog. Christine’s Mom had actually sewn on flowers from her own gown to Christine’s veil to make it extra special. Christine had DIY’d so many items thru the day, that it would be impossible to name them all. But everything she did she did with absolute excellence. From making the perfect matchbooks with Hudson’s face, to thrifting the perfect vases for the tables.
I’ll let her tell you how she and Jordan met in her own words.
How did you meet?
Jordan and I met through mutual friends from college and ended up at the same pregame before heading out to a bar in Manhattan. The moment I saw Jordan, I thought he was incredibly handsome and charismatic. I subtly tried to get his attention—standing nearby, hopping into the same elevator, and even crashing the same Uber ride. At the bar, I pretended to watch football, hoping it might spark a conversation about sports. Meanwhile, Jordan said he couldn’t help but notice me—he said he was struck by my beauty, but being the shy guy he was, he didn’t quite have the courage to say anything. After some failed attempts at getting his attention, I eventually ‘accidentally’ bumped into him, and from there, we didn’t leave each other’s side for the rest of the night. He admitted he was immediately struck by my beauty, quick wit, intelligence, and, of course, my sense of humor. After the bar, we went to a pizza joint nearby, where I made the bold (and, according to Jordan, nearly relationship-ending) decision to order Hawaiian pizza—something that, as a true New Yorker, Jordan found utterly mortifying. He likes to joke that he almost stopped talking to me right then and there. But despite this pizza crime, we shared our first kiss, and the rest, as they say, is history.
