Ahhh wait until you see this amazing proposal that I had the pleasure of shooting in Long Branch, New Jersey – right near Pier Village!

Brian reached out to me a couple weeks before this proposal was set to go down. I actually had already met him, because I had done another proposal where he and his fiancé to be Michelle were present! So, over the course of the time leading up to February 15th, Brian and I planned our attack. Errrrr. Maybe not an attack, but you know – the surprise for Michelle. Weather was a worry because ultimately outdoors can be a bit of a challenge in February – but despite a really rainy forecast, we were rewarded with a 60 degree day. Well. It was 60 degrees inland and probably a bit more like 40 and breezy by the water – but we made it work! I am actually really happy that we were doing this in February because Pier Village can be super crowded on-season, and we had everything to ourselves.

Michelle’s reaction to this proposal was the. best. She was completely surprised, and her emotions were seriously such a joy to photograph. I can’t blame her, because the custom ring that Brian designed for her was pretty amazing. These two were just so sweet together, and I loved their easy-going connection and complete excitement over this proposal. They were seriously like two kids on Christmas, and it was such an honor to be part of this and to get to photograph these moments for them!
