Style. For. Days. Marcela missed her calling as a model, just sayin’. I was able to head to Nanina’s in The Park for Marcela and Mark’s gorgeous spring wedding during the absolute peak of the cherry blossom bloom. I am seriously preoccupied with spring blooms, so I figured this would ultimately be akin to my Super Bowl. Branch Brook Park is the holy land for cherry blossoms, and I had never been at this time before. I heard it is essentially dreamlike – and that is correct. What you don’t realize, is that because it is such a spectacle, there are many many others who also want to see these blossoms. This creates a bit of a traffic snarl and parking issue in the park, which meant that for the photos we did in the blossoms, we all walked over from Nanina’s. Well worth it, and fortunately everyone was totally game!

Marcela is a former cheerleader, so we had a super fun photo op with her former crew later on in the evening, and I was just loving all the vibes.

“January 29, 2022 the day it snow stormed, we decided to have a snowday funday and bundle up, make spiked hot chocolates, and walk down the street to brunch at the Blarney Station. A few drinks into brunch Mark wanted to abruptly leave to go back home, which is a little out of character for him – I’m normally dragging this guy out of the bars! LOL When we got home the back door was unlocked and he goes I have a surprise and ran into living room. I didn’t think anything of it and slowly start peeling off my snow layers in kitchen. When I got to living room it was decked out with flowers and candles and he was on one knee, my childhood best friend who is a photographer was standing there photographing the whole thing. I sobbed, forgot to say yes, and it was awesome. Our sisters were hiding in the bedroom after just finishing decorating, our families and closest friends were all on standby to then came over for an impromptu engagement party afterwards. Best snow day ever, I think I cried for 24 hours straight!”
