I don’t get to photograph in Cape May all that frequently, so it’s always a treat when I head down! I always love the shore towns along the Jersey Coast (obviously I’m a little biased living in one), and Cape May is such a quaint one.

We started the session on the lawn at Congress Hall (iconic). I was amazed at how many people there were in late September when we did these photos! Then we headed over to the beach! I’m always amazed at how dramatically different the sun angle is on the beach in Cape May. The state skews just enough where the sunset almost feels like it’s literally over the ocean instead of due west. This is always such a treat!
