This was such a fun one. During their ceremony, the priest referred to Valerie and Brian as ‘the smiley couple’ and he could not have been more right. Both Val and Brian have the best smiles and they are always both laughing! Upon meeting their families and friends, it became evident why. What a group!

Despite weather that was deteriorating thru the day with some heavy winds and the threat of rain, Valerie and Brian just shook it all off. Somehow the weather did (mostly) what we needed – and we were able to do all our photos outside with ease. To say that the party at the reception was fun would have been a big understatement. The vibes were very high and we all had ourselves a time.

How did you meet?

It all started down the Jersey Shore – because where else do all great love stories begin? A mutual friend thought we might hit it off (they were right) and introduced us during a booze cruise in Sea Isle City. Our first date was in September, which was a very romantic dinner in a parking lot in Red Bank – thanks Covid. Proof that sand, sunscreen and a good friend’s matchmaking skills can lead to something pretty amazing!

What was the proposal like?

The proposal brought us back to where it all began – Sea Isle City! I was on my annual family vacation for the week. While I was getting ready for what I believed were just (fake) family portraits, he had something much bigger planned. Right there on the entrance to the beach, surrounded by the people we love, he popped the question. Brian’s whole family was there too! The surprises didn’t stop there. Back at the house, our friends were waiting to celebrate, and we kicked off an epic Sunday Funday. The night ended just as it should; dancing at the Ocean Drive.

What is your favorite thing to do together?

Brian and I both come from big families and are still close with our large group of high school friends. So our favorite thing to do is being together with the people we love the most! Whether we’re spending the whole day on the beach, laughing with our family and friends, taking long walks through Liberty State Park, or winding down with a good glass of wine, we always find joy in the simple things!
