I know, I know. It’s summer and now I am sharing a winter wedding. I can’t seem to get it together! Just for the record I am still writing all these blog entries personally (and I likely always will) so you will continue to get my out-of-season streams of consciousness. But when I go thru my weddings selecting things to blog, I just always end up all over the place. I find so many weddings that I just want to share, and I literally don’t care if they are not seasonally appropriate!

Park Savoy just looks *good* in December. When I had first arrived, I am pretty sure that her Mom was actually setting up all the trees for the ceremony! Once the twinkle lights were on later, I remember thinking that it had to be one of my favorite ceremonies in the chapel, ever! Just the most classic look. I also remember Shea’s gorgeous blue topaz ring from her grandmother. I also have a blue topaz, but hers was absolutely breathtaking.

From the color palette to Vincent’s reactions to Shea all day long, this was a special one!

What was the proposal like?

It was our 3 year anniversary and we had plans to go to dinner at Charlies in Bay Head. Vincent suggested making a Yeti of margaritas and taking a walk on the beach before dinner. He had never suggested something like this before so I became a bit suspicious but went along with it. It was overcast and a bit misty on the beach so I kept saying that I wanted to leave and get a drink at the bar before dinner. He ended up getting down on one knee to keep me from going on and on about wanting to leave the beach (oops!). He had a photographer hiding in the dunes which was such a surprise! He then told me we were going to his parents house to get changed and go into the city for the weekend. Little did I know he had all of our friends and family waiting at his parents house for a surprise engagement party. It was so special.
