Did you know that beach family sessions are possible all year long? Even in New Jersey? It can absolutely be chilly – but it’s totally possible! Lavallette is one of my favorite local beaches. There is access to a beautiful boardwalk, and it has so many great locations for family portraits on both the ocean and bay side.

It was a little chilly for this family session, but I loved the girls’ cozy outfits! Way to stay toasty while still being chic. We also had some amazing golden light for these photos – winter light is actually amazing for pictures! I feel like sometimes it almost feels like golden hour all day long because of the angle of the sun.

If you’re brave enough for a winter beach session – definitely reach out! I don’t mind!
