It’s always really special when I get to take photos for a friend (and also fellow photographer). I have known Courtney for a long while now, and I am so lucky to call her a friend. I have enjoyed getting to see glimpses of her kids growing up over the years, and I love how spunky they are, and how much personality they have.

This is an honest note to parents: I kinda love it when your kids are a bit wild during their photos. I love the candid images of them being them and I always feel like those images end up being my favorite from any session. Smiling at the camera photos are nice – but the ones where you can actually see the essence of the kids, tend to be the ones I’ll share over and over.

Barnegat Light is always an amazing spot for any family portrait session – and yes we absolutely all went for ice cream after we took these.
