When you’re a photographer and you get caught up in seeing beautiful sessions on mountaintops and glaciers on Pinterest and Instagram, it’s easy to feel defeated when you live in New Jersey. I often forget that I have so many beautiful places literally right in my backyard. I was so happy when Michelle requested her session be right on the marsh in Lacey Township. Ironically, I shot a beautiful backyard wedding right in this very spot back in 2018!

Michelle’s little one turned ONE for this session and we had the most perfect light and late November day!

Also – extra fun fact – directly across from this location across the bay is one of my favorite anchorages where I hang out on my boat – Tice’s Shoal! I always love being able to shoot in locations that are so close to home. It’s so important to recognize the beauty that is literally all around you all the time that you sometimes just don’t notice!
