Be still my pastel heart! I am still not over the florals from this wedding. The perfect mix of textures and gorgeous peaches and pinks. Paired with these blue bridesmaid gowns it was truly just *chef’s kiss*. We got the most perfect late July day with beautiful light literally all day long – and the vibes were just absolutely pristine.
Once we got to The Mill it was clear that the grounds were just showing off. All the greens were in rare form and everything just looked so lush and vibrant. 10/10 day!
What was the proposal like?
I knew it was coming soon being that we’d been together for 6 years at that point. My sister and her boyfriend were visiting from out of state so she made it seem like she planned a nice dinner for the 4 of us to go out to. I remember when we were getting ready she let me borrow a dress and I asked her ‘is Andrew proposing or something?’ half joking half not. She lied really well and said ‘no he won’t even tell me when he’s thinking of doing it!’. And I believed her. We got to the restaurant, McCloones Pier House in Pier Village, a bit early so Andrew said ‘let’s walk over by the beach’. My sister started to take out her phone and Andrew was smiling at me the whole time and that’s when I knew. He proposed by the beach, then we had dinner as planned. It was wonderful! There was one more surprise in store when we went back home, all of our friends were there and it was all decorated with pictures of us. We all got to go out and celebrate! It was perfectly planned and such a great time!
