Such a beautiful wedding and I so enjoyed getting to revisit the gallery from this one! I know, I know – it’s June. But keep in mind that I’m blogging these weddings in December for you all. I keep on drifting to my winter weddings and how beautiful they are! Got to let them have their moment.
Katie was the absolute picture of elegance. Loved her sleek updo and gown. If I remember correctly it was cold. Very, very cold. We went outside briefly to get some beautiful portraits of the entire bridal party, and also Katie and Brandon. They were all troopers despite the fact that they were probably absolutely frozen!
How did you meet?
We met on bumble in March of 2020 (the week when the world shut down).
What was the proposal like?
My family made the decision to knock down our beach house and rebuild in 2023. Brandon knew how much I love LBI and how much this spot meant to me. We had always talked about him proposing one on one and then having our family/friends around after to celebrate and MAN did he deliver! On July 1st, we were on our way down to LBI to meet my family for a party at the Surf City Yacht Club down the street. We always met up beforehand to check out the progress on the house when we came down so I didn’t suspect anything. When we arrived everything was normal and I just figured everybody was on the roof top taking in the sunset, the second we got up there I saw rose petals and candles leading up the stairs to a blanket, pillows and champagne. He popped the question and of course, I said yes! Then, I heard a bunch of cheering and it was coming from one of my best friend’s rooftops and next door at my uncles house. Everybody had come out of hiding and they were all cheering (some were holding signs). Afterwards, we all headed up to the Surf City Hotel (our fave spot in the summer) and we celebrated with drinks. It was truly perfect, I had no idea! A fun little detail is that the house was not 100% done yet, the builder had just put railings on the roof deck that week because he knew about the proposal!
