Late March Wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor

February 19, 2026

Adrianna is the main character and I loved every single minute of it! These two were so much fun to hang out with, and I always love when a couple doesn’t take themselves too seriously, and also adds some personal and unique touches to their day! Adrianna wore her grandmother’s wedding shoes, which fit her perfectly. Items like this are so special to photograph, and I could not believe how well the shoes had held up over so many years. She also had black lace on her veil, which was the perfect complement to her look (in addition to the pockets on her wedding dress)!

These two met in the fifth grade – I’ll let Adrianna tell you in her own words!

Nick and I met in fifth grade, where we sat right next to each other, in alphabetical order. I was always giggling at him and we were even safety partners. We became good friends, one of my first close friends that was a boy, and were in each others class every single year after that. We “dated” from eighth grade to ninth grade, and then broke up. We stayed friends through high school though, continuously weaving in and out of each others lives at parties and school events. My crush for him really never went away. When we were getting ready to go off to college, we went our separate ways and were not really in contact anymore. However, junior year of college, a mutual friend of ours graduated from Army Ranger school, and we were both in attendance. This was the first time we were together since high school. We started talking that night again, and never left each other’s sides again since. You could say I have been giggling at him since fifth grade!

What was the proposal like?

Nick and I moved in together October of 2021. Our proposal took place in our apartment on Christmas Eve morning 2022, which is both of our favorite time of year. I enjoy surprises, so Nick picked out the ring all by himself, he just knew the shape I liked from me telling friends and family. Every Christmas Eve, we wake up early to pick up all the seafood for our family’s Christmas Eve dinner. When I woke up, I realized Nick was up already for awhile. Once I got up, he told me to quickly get ready because we had to go get the food. However, as soon as I threw on a sweatshirt, he then told me I had to open a gift first. Confused since I thought we had to go, I quickly felt like something was happening… I opened the box and it was a blank circle white ornament. He told me to turn it over and it said “Engaged Nicholas and Adrianna, December 24, 2022” and when I looked up he was down on one knee! This was so perfectly us, in our home together, on Christmas Eve morning, just us. Being completely surprised was perfect and the ring was everything I could have imagined and more.
