Summer Garden Party Wedding at Linwood Country Club

December 18, 2025

MaryKate and Jake – where do I start?! I already knew I loved this family – I had done MaryKate’s sister Maggie’s wedding up in Vernon at the beautiful Mountain Creek Resort in 2023. It had been a rainy day, but I remember having the best time with them, despite not being able to go up the mountain for the ceremony like we planned!

MaryKate and Jake very fortunately did not have rain – but they did have wind! This helped to make their portraits just a bit more dramatic, and everyone got thru it with ease. I was so obsessed with MaryKate’s bridal look – and her sleeves! The removable sleeves she added to her gown really completed the vibe, which was accented perfectly by Blossom and Bee’s floral work, which was an elevated organic garden party type of energy.

We got to enjoy a gorgeous ceremony out on the course, and then had the most spectacular sunset by the willow tree on the green! Linwood is such a fun venue to work at, because there are so many good locations for photos on the course, especially at sunset! The view of Atlantic City on the horizon is always the icing on the cake.

About the proposal:

Jake set his plan in motion months ahead by going on ‘hot girl walks’ to scout out potential proposal locations without me being suspicious (aka i’m super nosey and catch on to all his surprises). 3 months ahead of his proposal Jake would not stop talking about the pier he found next to the Chart House in Weehawken and how I had to come see it with him. He knew me well enough to know that I wouldn’t walk the 4 miles there and back, so I never went. 3 months later, I wasn’t shocked or suspicious when Jake begged to head to his brothers ‘birthday dinner’ at Chart House a little early so he could show me the pier. At the end of the pier, I still had no clue he was proposing 🙂
