This is such a gorgeous wedding and I can’t wait for you to see it! Karli and Bryan are just the sweetest, and I loved meeting their family and friends!
Spring at The Ashford Estate is such a perfect time to be on the property, and to say I was obsessed with the giant Kwanzan cherry trees that were *just* coming off their peak and sprinkling petals everywhere was an understatement. After several attempts at shaking the trees, I finally found just the right light for the photo later on during the day when we snuck out for some images during sunset. The ground was actually PINK which only lasts literally a day or two as the trees shed their flowers.
There were so many personal and special moments thru this day – I’ll let Karli tell you how they met and about the proposal in her own words!
How did you meet?
We met in our 3rd year of college at Monmouth University. Bryan lived across the street from me, our paths crossed a few time before we actually spoke. One night we kissed at a party and the rest is history! We had the best final year of school together, graduated together and then went out into the world together. We bought our first home in 2021 and only 2 weeks later we added our little pup Barkley to the family!
What was the proposal like?
Bryan told me he wanted to go into the city one Sunday to try a new restaurant. He kept telling me he had all of the days plans worked out so I just went along with it, completely oblivious. Then after lunch we went by the Rockefeller Christmas tree, Bryan asked a stranger to take our phone, when I looked over to Bryan (starting to pose for a photo) he was down on one knee smiling up at me. I cried and said yes!
