Late Winter Wedding at Clark’s Landing

December 26, 2024

When I walked in on the morning of the wedding, Jamie and I were talking about the day, and she said that Pat was ‘such a chicken nugget’ – and I knew for CERTAIN that she was my bride. Jamie – I just adore you!! I remember threading the needle with weather for Jamie and Pat’s wedding – rain and heavy wind on either side – but a period of calm right on the day. For late March, I remember being very comfortable – and it was such a win!

One of the most fun parts of this day – was that Jamie and Pat actually rode together on the trolley to Clark’s Landing before they did their first look. In order to keep Jamie’s dress a secret – Pat wore a blindfold the entire time. Just such a sweet moment.

Jamie and Pat – thank you so much for having me!!

How did you meet?

We both rented a shore house every summer in Manasquan, NJ. The summer of 2020 we were neighbors and spent the whole summer hanging out and going to the beach. The last weekend of the summer we decided to go on our first date together at Pig and Parrot – the rest was history.

What was the proposal like?

It was actually a complete surprise. Pat said that were going to dinner with his family to a nice restaurant. We drove to their house and after having a few snacks he said that he needed to get some wood for the fireplace and I went with him. When we walked outside there were dangling lights, and right by the outdoor fireplace he got down on one knee. My whole family entered afterwards, even my Nanny was there to celebrate with us. It was the most special night with both our families.
