I feel like at any given moment I always have several ideas for photo session swirling around in my head. Lavender had been on my mind for a while – but as it turns out, it’s harder than I anticipated to execute! There are only a handful of lavender fields in New Jersey, and the bloom window for the plants is relatively short (just a couple of weeks).

Fortunately for me – Amanda and Chris were down to chase my lavender dreams with me, and I am so thankful that they were! This session gave me all the French countryside vibes. I was absolutely obsessed with Amanda’s dress and bright pink lip – and Pleasant Valley Lavender was also kind enough to give us an adorable basket to use for the session, complete with fresh picked lavender! The scent in the fields is heavenly.

I love that Amanda and Chris also brought several bottles of champagne so we could really perfect a ‘champagne pop and spray’ photo at the end. It turned out Chris was a natural at this.

I am so excited to celebrate with these two in June at The Hamilton Manor!
