I absolutely loved getting to relive this beautiful backyard wedding in Brick, New Jersey! Megan and Jeff had the sweetest wedding right in the backyard of her Mimi’s house. There were so many DIY touches, and literally every single part of this wedding had been put together with so much love!

I can’t go without mentioning that this wedding took place on the hottest day of the year. It was a sweltering 100 degrees all day. Despite intense (and I do mean intense – pretty sure I sweat off 10-15 pounds between the two weddings I shot this particular weekend) heat – Megan and Jeff were so happy, so down for anything, and so ready to be married! Also – can you tell in these photos how hot it was? Pretty sure these two would look amazing in any type of weather.

I love all of my weddings, but backyard weddings always hold a special place in my heart. I loved how special Mimi’s house is to Megan, and the tree that was the backdrop for their outdoor ceremony was so perfect. Their tented reception was filled with delicious healthy food options, and all aspects of the decor were handmade with love.
