Abbie Holmes Estate Wedding | Cape May Courthouse Photographer

February 10, 2019

Oh Bree and Mark. I love these two and their insanely amazing wedding at Abbie Holmes Estate so much. Not only are Bree and Mark the sweetest couple – they have also traveled the world together and they have one of the best groups of friends that I have ever met! I did Bree’s friend Deidre’s wedding at The Channel Club around a year and a half ago – and immediately loved their entire girl group the second I met them (DCAB shout out).

We had all anticipated that Bree’s October wedding might be a little chilly – but none of us expected that the wind would be around 35mph and make the 45 degree day feel around 20. Regardless – everyone was in really good spirits and ready to brave the cold with us! We also found inventive ways to keep warm (see photo of Bree and her girls doing shots of Fireball Whisky during their portraits). Fortunately the winds calmed down just enough for some portraits of just Bree and Mark later on in the day, and also for their gorgeous outdoor ceremony at the estate. Abbie Holmes has a ceremony site straight out of a garden dream, and I was so happy that we got to have the ceremony there even though it was a bit brisk.

Also – please, please check out the interior reception space on this venue. I was completely obsessed with the vaulted ceiling filled with twinkle lights!
