Where do I even begin with this ridiculously gorgeous, nautical wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club? I could begin, I suppose, by letting you know that Sam is a real life mermaid. She has the biggest heart, and is seriously the most thoughtful and sweet person ever. Her energy is contagious, and hanging out with her on her wedding day was truly such a joy. Jake is her perfect match, and I love how the two of them are around each other.
There were so many unexpected and wonderfully unique touches throughout Sam and Jake’s day. I absolutely loved that the greenery was locally sourced (and when I say locally, I mean from Sam’s Mom’s yard), and that it reflected so much of the natural beauty of this area. Sam’s red heels provided a fun pop of red under her Maggie Sottero gown. In keeping with their nautical theme, Sam made her grand ceremony entrance coming in on her Dad’s boat, the Sea Bum. Instead of favors, Sam and Jake’s love of sea turtles was evident, as they donated money towards their preservation.
Also, might I add, Sam and her Mom made all of the centerpieces and ballroom decor. It was absolutely gorgeous and I have a gratuitous amount of photos of all that creative goodness below. Sam and Jake’s amazing doggo Harley was able to spend most of their wedding day with them as flowerpup, which I adored. She took her role very seriously and even wore a wreath that matched Sam’s bouquet.
During the reception, guests broke out a shark piñata and everyone danced to ‘Baby Shark’ as played by the Silver Arrow Band. This entire day was one for the books – thank you so much Sam and Jake for letting me be a part of your amazing day!
