Amanda and Jack – you are just the sweetest! This was such a gorgeous wedding, and these two just have the easiest way about them! I can’t thank Jack enough for humoring me while he was in his Marine dress uniform! Fact: you cannot put your hands in your pockets if you are wearing the uniform (and if you all know me, you know I live and die by this) – so we had to come up with other options for hand placement – which Jack was so gracious with, so thank you!

The English Manor is a perfect and rustic estate venue with phenomenal gardens, and it was such a perfect backdrop for this wedding!

How did you meet?

We met at a bar in DC while I (Amanda) was in college and Jack was in military training! It was my favorite college bar and Jack + his friends picked it at random when the traveled up to stay for the night on the weekend. We were near each other, his friends talking with mine, and I walked up and introduced myself. We then did long distance for 3.5 years as I stayed in DC/VA and Jack moved from VA to Florida to Texas and then California which I finally moved to so we could be together!

What was the proposal like?

Jack surprised me with a date night and (unplanned) decided we should go watch the sunset on the cliffs in Del Mar California prior to dinner which is where he popped the question right after the sun had set.
