Weddings at Grounds for Sculpture and Rat’s Restaurant are always totally magical. There is something about the location and the eclectic mix of art, landscaping, and whimsy that seriously make it a favorite of mine for wedding ceremonies and receptions. It almost feels like you are walking around in a storybook when you are exploring the grounds, and there are literally endless opportunities for photos. I was absolutely thrilled when Jackie and Kurt asked me to do their wedding at GFS. They were the sweetest couple and I knew that their wedding was going to be breathtaking. I was so right. The only thing missing were there adorable pups, Link and Luna. But they were there in spirit.

There were so many unexpected and perfect touches throughout this entire day. It may have been Kurt’s suit color, Jackie’s gorgeous magenta lip, the stunning array of flowers in the bouquets and crowns, or the carefully placed butterflies – but either way everything was completely personalized and unique and I absolutely loved it. It didn’t hurt that we literally did outdoor photos during peak foliage in New Jersey, which as any New Jersian can tell you lasts about .4 seconds during any given year. The colors were absolutely stunning and I was so happy that we had quite a bit of time before the ceremony to really walk the grounds and get some of the gorgeous colors in these photos.

The reception party party was pretty off the hook, if I do say so myself. The dancing was intense, and the celebration rampant. Jackie and Kurt’s entire family and all their friends had been so kind to Ray and I all day long, and it honestly made it hard for us to leave them.
