Long Beach Island Family Portrait Photographer | Ship Bottom, New Jersey

July 30, 2018

One of the best things about being a family portrait photographer in LBI is getting to visit so many gorgeous beaches! Barnegat Light, Loveladies, Harvey Cedars, Beach Haven, Surf City, Ship Bottom, and Holgate are some favorites (just to name a few). I have literally never been to a beach on Long Beach Island that I didn’t like. That being said, there are a couple of stand-outs for me, and this unsuspecting beach in Ship Bottom is definitely one of them! Plus it’s super close to Zen Sushi which is a favorite spot for eats on the island of mine.

This family photo session featured three of the most gorgeous sisters I have ever seen! These girls were total naturals in front of the camera, and made my job way too easy. Any time I do family sessions, I always do individuals of all the kiddos present. I always love getting some portraits of the littlest members of a family in order to document that time for their parents. I don’t believe that this should stop once you are an adult! Everyone deserves a gorgeous portrait of themselves at any age.

We got a perfect evening on the beach for this session (I know I always say that, but any time I look at photos I have taken I often forget how windy it was, how many flies there were, or any other weather-related incidents, and just focus on how gorgeous the end result is). I had so much fun with this family, and we even got a special gift – a really cool tide pool that had formed. Any time I do photos on the beach, there is always the potential that there is going to be a cool feature that is unusual, so I always love incorporating those types of things into the session. The beach is constantly changing and evolving, so no two sessions are ever really the same, even if they are taken at the same location. There are just too many variables.

Thank you to this gorgeous family for being amazing!
