So I’m going to be honest right now. I was not one of the cool kids in high school. Suffice it to say, I was definitely one of the uncool kids. My sophomore year of high school, I was determined to letter in a sport. I really wanted a varsity jacket to have in my school photos because that was totally a thing at that time. Either way, I had a problem – because I wasn’t good at sports.
After exhausting all of my options due to insufficient athletic ability, I finally settled on golf. There was no women’s golf team (there was barely a golf team at all), so basically if I was able to golf even a little, I would be able to letter. It seemed like a no-brainer. Two friends and I actually went and took a golf lesson, where it turned out I had a bit of a talent for driving.
Either way, to make a very long (very painful) story short, I couldn’t even letter in golf, and left high school without a varsity jacket. Over a decade later, I have finally come to terms with this.
When Kristin’s Mom contacted me about doing her senior photos for her, I was seriously so excited. I’m so happy that they were open to a more lifestyle approach. These photos will totally be timeless, and Kristin looks absolutely gorgeous in them! I also couldn’t believe that they had come all the way from New Mexico and were staying in Long Beach Island for a bit during the summer. Barnegat Light was a no-brainer location for me to suggest because it is so beautiful, but even I couldn’t have planned how perfect of an evening we got! At just the right time, a tide pool formed, which really created some magic.
