Light Blue Summer Wedding at Bear Brook Valley

January 29, 2026

Summer weddings just hit different. I am still on my blogging journey, and while I know that right now this blog will likely end up publishing in late January and I should probably be picking seasonally appropriate weddings to feature, my browsing led me to Alyssa and Bruce’s day from August of 2024. I don’t think you all understand just how many weddings I have in the vault – but I could easily spend two years showing you all weddings from the vault that I have not had the chance to publish!

Alyssa and Bruce had their sweet pup visit them to grab some photos, and he naturally stole the show (see below). We also got the most incredible sunset that we just had to run out into the vineyard for!

What was the proposal like?

I help direct my middle school play and while I was busy getting ready for the performances, Bruce was busy getting ready to propose and coordinate for our families and friends to be there. After a long weekend of two spring musical performances, my family came over for some pizza and then left. Despite me not wanting to leave the house, my friends convinced me to go out and meet them for a drink. When we stepped outside, the front porch was decorated with flowers, lights, and pictures of Bruce and I. Bruce got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Both of our families and friends were waiting for us at the Famished Frog in Morristown to celebrate our engagement! This was March 25th, 2023.
