Anna and Brendan – where do I even start?! From the second you reached out to me, I knew this day was going to be beyond special. The two of you are the most thoughtful, kind, and just all around incredible people. I found myself tearing up multiple times throughout this wedding. Whether it was the ‘family hug’ that Anna and her parents/siblings do together, or the sweetest speeches from their family, it was a day that was just so filled with love and thoughtful touches.
When I left this wedding I remember thinking that I was so incredibly fortunate to have gotten to meet these two and spend such an important day with them. It really was magic, because they are magic together. It is very evident where it comes from, because their families and friends are the exact same way. Welcoming, considerate, and so many more adjectives that I just don’t have the words for.
The decor was everything you would imagine if you tried to think of a garden party on LBI. Pinks, lush blooms, lots of candles – the Gables is truly a perfect backdrop for a whimsical and romantic wedding!
How did you meet?
We were introduced on Valentine’s day through a mutual friend at Seton Hall University. Our first date was a late night trip to Wawa. We split a large milkshake and stayed out talking until 4am. It was definitely love at first sip. We were a match made in redheaded heaven.
What was the proposal like?
On Feb 11th 2023, Brendan planted my cousin, a professional photographer from Chicago, on the 102nd floor at the top of the Empire State Building. Living in Hoboken, I am obsessed with the skyline. My favorite rom coms include Meg Ryan and New York City. Brendan wanted to plan the perfect Meg Ryan rom com proposal. He took inspiration from one of our favorite movies, Sleepless in Seattle. Brendan proposed in front of a glittery NYC backdrop just days before our 7th anniversary. Brendan told me, ‘You always make me feel like I’m on top of the world.’ It was perfect.
What is your favorite thing to do together?
It sounds boring, but we genuinely love taking our dog on long walks in Hoboken. We’ve lived in Hoboken for 5 years now and we just adore it. We got Rooney right out of college and we’ve been a little family of three ever since. We also love taking Rooney to the beach in off-season when it’s quiet. LBI is our favorite weekend escape. We’re also on the hunt for the best cinnamon roll in NJ.
