I am super behind with my blogging, so I’m going to take us all the way back to August for this wedding! You might remember Deidre and John, because I blogged their engagement session a while back (we got a frog to sit in her engagement ring, and it was epic) with their sailboat Clementine. These two are just the sweetest, and their family and friends were seriously the kindest and warmest people ever – they made Ray and I truly feel like family the entire day!
The weather was a little sketchy, so we weren’t quite certain if we’d be able to do photos outdoors after their ceremony. We also had a cardboard boat race to contend with happening in Ocean Gate. Luckily for us, the race had either ended or been rained out by the time we got there (no offense to the boar race, it is a super cool thing to watch) to we were able to take advantage of the pair and iconic pavilion for some amazing wedding photos! We also ended up having perfect light, thanks to just the right amount of cloud cover.
After their beautiful ceremony at St. Barnabas, and awesome portrait session in Ocean Gate, we headed over to the Channel Club in Monmouth Beach for their reception. I am always a sucker for an venue with boats, and The Channel Club marina did not disappoint! So many beautiful yachts! I was thrilled that Dee and John were down for just a few more photos before cocktail hour, and they snuck out onto one of the docks with Ray and I for a quick session.
From there, the party got downright epic. You may see some familiar faces in Dee’s bridal party. Breeana and Mark are engaged as well, and I can’t wait to reunite with this whole crew for their October wedding next year!!
