Allaire State Park Engagement Session | Chelsea & Andrew Engaged

October 9, 2017

I always dread the end of the warm weather each year, but I know that fall brings some beautiful engagement sessions! Ok, I admit that this session doesn’t really seem very fall-ish because the leaves are still green – but I promise that we did these in October, so that definitely counts. Either way, fall is an extremely popular time for not only weddings (and wedding bookings) but engagement and family sessions as well. Plus – it’s usually still pretty seasonable out, so it’s definitely a win-win.
I truly love shooting engagement sessions because it is definitely a time for couples to be themselves without the stress that a wedding day can sometimes bring. I seriously also love when my brides-to-be get a little glam for their session like Chelsea did for hers, with some gorgeous heels and the perfect shade of neutral pink. You can seriously never, ever go wrong with a flowy skirt!
We visited Allaire State Park on a weekday evening to avoid the crowds, and we had perfect light and weather – and basically had the entire park to ourselves! We definitely deserved this evening since we had to reschedule their session twice due to the weather just not cooperating.
One of the many reasons that I love Allaire for sessions is because the woods and trails are stunning, and there are seriously so many that I could probably still find new ones. Plus – not only is the woods gorgeous, but there are beautiful historic buildings that offer some fun architecture and dimension for a little something different.
Chelsea and Andrew completely rocked their session and were so natural in front of the camera! Honestly my job was way too easy for this session, and I can’t wait for their June 2018 wedding at The English Manor!
