First I just have to say that Michaela is undoubtedly one of my most athletic brides. It is so fitting that she and Diogo met while they were playing soccer together (apparently she’s very good). We got the most perfect day at Bear Brook Valley for this wedding! It was a little cloudy to begin, and I remember some rain threatening initially – but I knew that it was going to clear up, and it did!

We were even able to sneak out for some golden hour photos, which I admit I did not think would happen – but we got them! Golden hour at Bear Brook is always so worth it. The sun angle with the vineyard up on the hill and the view of the venue is always just such a treat to be able to photograph! Being in NJ there are not many places where you feel like you’re on a mountaintop – but Bear Brook Valley is one of those such places!

I absolutely loved that Michaela and Diogo were down for anything (and also that they did some traditional Portuguese dances at their reception). Michaela was the most chill bride and such a joy to be around! Her one request for the day was doing a gold themed lay flat, and she gave me allll the trimmings. Lay flats are always such a little treat for me, so I enjoyed getting to do one that was completely different (in addition to her literally perfect wedding day details).
