What a special wedding! I know I say that about all my weddings, but Navy weddings are always going to be close to my heart because my Dad was a navy vet. Loved seeing Will’s dress whites against the perfect backdrop of one of my favorite places, Crystal Point!

We got the most perfect afternoon for this wedding, and I loved Erin’s light blue color palette. We breezed right thru portraits, and I knew that we were going to have the perfect opportunity later in the day to go out on the dock for some sunset photos with the couple! Thanks to the amazing staff at Crystal Point and Mission Dance Band for always ensuring that my couples always have the opportunity in their reception timeline to sneak out for some quick golden hour photos!

How did you meet?

We met at a mutual friend’s 4th of July party in 2017. We ended up having an amazing conversation and got along so well, – but did not think we would see each other again. We both went to different colleges and were going back to school in about a month. Also, Will and I were both living two hours apart, him in NY and me in NJ. He reached out to me a few days after the party and we planned our first date to Point Pleasant Beach! I knew he was the one when he drove two hours to pick me up that day! 🙂

What was the proposal like?

We have always loved to hike. When Will got home from his second 7 month deployment, we planned a road trip to Asheville, NC. We made it to the top of a beautiful mountain and he popped the question! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect moment.

What is your favorite thing to do together?

Everything we do is always better together, whether that is grocery shopping or going on vacation. It is the simple things we do together that make it special. A few of the things we enjoy together are outdoor activities like hiking/playing pickleball, working out, and staying in to watch a movie on the weekend.
