Pastel Winter Wedding at The Stone House

May 1, 2025

Get ready because this is a good one! Before you see these photos please keep in mind: it was cold. Very cold. Everyone you see in these photos was freezing, but they brought their a-game and soldiered thru. Effortlessly elegant, Lauren wasn’t even shivering despite temps in the high twenties with a likely even chillier windchill.

This color palette was absolutely to die for – I am preoccupied with pinks, corals, and golds – and this wedding had all those colors and more (and magical February light literally the entire time we were shooting). We got to use the entirety of the Stone House, and it was so nice to be able to enjoy both sides!

Lauren and Zach both had an outfit change mid-reception that had the cutest nod to Zach’s roots as a Texan, and we even got to do a champagne tower!

I’ll let Lauren tell you about them in her own words!

How did you meet?

We grew up over 1500 miles apart (NJ & TX)! Who would have thought that we would meet in the small town of Oxford, Mississippi. I was finishing up my Masters degree while Zach had recently embarked on his Masters degree, while concurrently working for Ole Miss football. While we arrived in Oxford for very different reasons, we shared one course that brought us together: Cardiophysiology. In an effort to better understand the course, Zach reached out to me for help. What started as simple tutoring sessions and lab partners, blossomed into a love that would conquer all obstacles! Every chance we had; we were together. We have been together for 8 years with 5 of those years being long distance. Our jobs and education have taken us all over the country. I have lived in 8 different states while Zach has lived in 4.

What was the proposal like?

Football has consistently served as a strong foundation in our relationship. On Monday, November 27th 2023, Zach surprised me and proposed to me in Neyland Stadium (University of Tennessee). On a typical fall Saturday, this stadium may hold more than 101,000 people. However, on this special occasion, only two people stood on that field and they agreed to an everlasting love! It was perfect.
