Cassie and Ryan! Ahh I love you two! Cassie and Ryan are so fun to be around, have the sweetest families, and I so loved getting to be with them for their wedding! It helped that Cassie has impeccable style and taste in music. Her gorgeous lace gown, and Ryan’s groom style complete with suspenders was the perfect touch for this rustic outdoor wedding.
These two are the exact type of people that you just want to be around. They are laid back, fun, awesome dancers, and so incredibly kind!
I absolutely loved that their good boy Copper was a big part of this wedding – running free most of the time. In case you haven’t noticed I am a *big* dog lover so anytime a couple includes their furry one in their plans, I am here for it!
I’m going to let Cassie tell some of their love story in her own words!
How did you meet?
We met at a bar, The Downtown, in Red Bank. We stopped talking to each other, and then “ran into each other” during a half-marathon. We ended up meeting for post-race drinks, and have been together ever since.
What was the proposal like?
Ryan took me to our favorite restaurant, Copper Canyon, in Atlantic Highlands. After dinner, he asked me to go for a walk on the harbor. He turned down one of the piers, and towards the end, he knelt down, pulled a box out of his sock, and proposed.
What is your favorite thing to do together?
We love to go to breweries, take hikes, and spend time with our dog, Copper.
What is your best advice for a couple planning their wedding?
Don’t do it during a worldwide pandemic!!! But really, no matter what happens, the end result is the same. Everything might not go as planned, and it might not be what you always envisioned, but at the end of the day, you get to spend the rest of your life with the one you love!
