I had heard about Fisherman’s Cove several times before I actually shot there. Ironically – I think that I had been around the area, but never recognized that it would probably be an amazing place for portraits! One of the things I always look for in an amazing photography spot, is how it’s positioned in relation to the water. Fisherman’s Cove is unique in this respect, because the water is actually on the south side. This is amazing in certain winds that often make the beach a no-go. It is a super popular fishing spot (with a name like that, how could it not be), and on-season the parking spaces are typically crowded with fishermen.

Another thing that makes this an incredible spot, is that you can bring your dog! It’s also a dog beach. I love that Stephanie and Matt brought sweet little Zoe to their session (she ended up being quite the model).

I can’t wait for these two to tie the knot this October at Clark’s Landing in Point Pleasant!!
