I love a good pastel color palette and Jessica and Stephen’s was literal perfection! We got so lucky with the weather for their day. If I remember correctly, storms were on the forecast. We somehow managed to get every single portrait done outdoors – and then even snuck out again and got some golden light for sunset! The only time it rained was during the ceremony – which is such a win.
I was completely obsessed with Jessica’s incredible gown. The back was to die for and such an elegant and stylish touch!
I’m going to let Jessica tell you their love story in her own words!
How did you meet?
“We have been friends for what feels like our whole lives! We met in middle school and our friendship truly started in high school. We always hung out in large groups with our friends and it wasn’t until way after high school graduation that we started hanging out one on one. As natural and easy as our friendship started, us dating was just as easy and effortless. We truly are the best of friends and what was meant to be truly found it’s way in its own time.”
What was the proposal like?
“During our vacation to California one of our stays was at an airbnb in the middle of the dessert in Joshua Tree. Upon booking this particular stay we added waking up at 5am to sit outside in the Adirondack chairs to admire the sunrise to our itinerary. Still in our pajamas, while drinking our coffee, just as the sun peaked over the mountains Stephen tricked me by saying there was a roadrunner that just ran across the way causing me to look in that direction. As I turn my head back to tell him I saw no such thing he was already down on one knee!”
